slip and fall in restaurant restroom
James Holliday, Holliday Karatinos Law Firm, Lutz, Florida
While closing the restroom door, a customer of a busy restaurant slipped and fell on the slippery tile floor causing serious injury to his body.
Not all cases require continuous motion video. Producing stop-motion visualizations can provide huge cost savings, while still making a powerful impact.
Our team was hired by personal injury attorney James Holliday of the Holliday Karatinos Law Firm to produce a high quality stop-motion visualization of the Plaintiff expert’s theory of the case.
Working with accident reconstruction expert Srinivas Kadiyala, Ph.D. of Florida Forensic Engineering Inc, our team constructed a 3-dimensional representation of the accident sequence.
As a part of his reconstruction, Dr. Kadiyala conducted a scene inspection where he used a 3D laser scanner of the accident scene. The laser scanner data was converted into a “point cloud” representation of the accident scene, which was then used to construct a 3-dimensional model.
Once a 3-dimensional model is constructed, a character, representing the Plaintiff, can be posed and positioned within the scene in order to illustrate the exact mechanism of the slip and fall event, as well as to illustrate the points of contact between the floor and the Plaintiff’s body.
Mr. Langley also performed nighttime visibility experiments with an exemplar tractor and motorcycle, including acceleration experiments with the exemplar tractor. Working closely with Mr. Langley, our team was able to generate detailed animations that accurately depicted his opinions in the case.
The case ultimately settled for a confidential amount.
Our team can create visual aids like the ones above to help with your personal injury case. Would you like to work with our highly motivated team? Email us at contact@crashanimationstudios.com or call 1-800-210-8511 and let’s get started.
